Open gates of Mártély
What a festival for traditions, instruments, cultures and ages! I enjoyed every moment. Here is the closing event with storyteller István Zsirmik and myself, performing Baul.

I was very pleased to see the interested crowd watching my Baul show at the French Institute’s programme, Fête de la musique. We started at the mezzanine, then moved into the auditorium, I performed four Baul songs, three of which I learned on my latest study trip. It felt amazing to share them with the audience.
Thank you, Institut français de Budapest!
My Hungarian short story Mozi (Cinema) has been selected to be featured in Short stories of the year by Magyar Napló.
Will my short stories ever be translated into English? Good question 🙂 I hope so. In the meantime, if you are one of the rare English speaking people visiting my website, get in touch with me, I might give you a short version of the plot.
Here’s my musical wish to all of my followers – Merry Christmas!
Songs, novella excerpts, interesting stories…
We had fun at this event organized by Magyar Napló and Benczúr Ház, celebrating the 30th anniversary of National Cultural Fund of Hungary (NKA).
Presented by Zsuzsa Mirtse, featuring Zsolt Berta and Katalin Burns.
